Rain City Maids started in 2015 because I believed house cleaning could be done better: reliable service, professional cleaners, straightforward pricing, and a company that takes responsibility when something goes wrong.
Today we’ve grown to four locations and a team of 40 cleaning professionals serving homes throughout the Seattle area. We’re still independently owned, and the things that mattered when we started still matter now: doing what we say we’ll do, treating customers’ homes with care, and standing behind our work.
A local team, not a marketplace. Our office team here in the Seattle area handles scheduling, customer service and quality issues, so when something needs sorting out you are dealing with the same local company that sent the cleaners.

Who Comes Into Your Home
Letting someone into your home is a big deal, and we treat it that way.
Employees, not contractorsEvery cleaner is a W-2 employee of Rain City Maids, not a contractor and not a freelancer from a marketplace app. Each one goes through a background check before being sent to a customer’s home, and we are selective about what comes back.
Licensed & insuredWA UBI 603-545-749, L&I 107,230-01, with $2 million in general liability coverage. If something goes wrong, our office team is here to help make it right.
Hard to get hired hereOnly about one in ten people who apply to clean for us gets an interview, and fewer than two in a hundred are hired. The ones who make it train alongside an experienced cleaner for up to two weeks before they work on their own.
How We’re Different
We are not a franchise or a cleaning marketplace. We are a local company with four offices, our own cleaning staff, and a local office team you can call. Text us during business hours and most people hear back within about five minutes.
We bring everything.Our teams arrive with all their own supplies and equipment, including microfiber cloths and mop pads and HEPA-filter vacuums. You don’t need to stock anything.
A price before you commit.Pricing is based on your home’s square footage and number of bathrooms, so you get an instant online quote and can book in about a minute. You can also move or skip a visit from your own account.
A supervisor checks the work.We employ field supervisors whose job is to inspect cleanings in person, not just read reviews. We have logged nearly 3,900 inspections since 2017, and we run several hundred every year.
